The Role of a Coach

The role of a coach is to guide, motivate, and support their clients or athletes in achieving their goals. They provide feedback, teach skills, and help with problem-solving to facilitate growth and improvement. Additionally, coaches serve to keep clients accountable, helping clients stay focused and committed to their objectives. My role is to believe in my clients even when they don’t and to change the story they may be telling themselves.

If you want to be successful, surround yourself with people that believe in you. There will always be naysayers; they want to hold you back so they can have company in their misery but you are more capable than you realize.

A coach at your side often can be the confidence boost you need to stay on track. They will teach you to change that inner dialogue from, “I’m so slow on my run today”, to “this headwind is building my running strength”. A coach can give you the tools to stay the course when the going gets tough.
