Just Show Up

Motivation is hard. Sometimes it’s there and other times not. If you are waiting for motivation to get up off your a$$ then prepare to be disappointed. Rather, schedule time for yourself and take action. Yes I’m talking about exercise but also everything.

In any given week, half of the time I do not feel like engaging in training but do anyway. I just SHOW UP. Some days I show up, do my warm up and then decide to take the day off. You should listen to your body but don’t always listen to the voice in your head. 99% of the time I feel better after moving for just a few minutes. Sometimes you surprise yourself with an unexpected effort. Regardless, you will always feel better after you move.

In time, taking action will become less work and becomes routine. Now you are prioritizing yourself! As these habits persist you will start to reap the benefits of consistency. Confidence, proficiency, strength, endurance, etc.

Consistency over time = results

Take care of yourself and you will be able to take better care of those around you.
