What to expect from a typical Envision Fitness workout:

Initial Assessment

As a potential or new member, you’ll be scheduled for an assessment with one of our elite coaching staff. During your appointment, you and your fitness coach will review your health history, goals and your past and current exercise experiences.

The coach will then assess your body in its current state – using a full postural evaluation. You will go through a range-of-motion analysis and a functional movement screen – which assesses your ability to perform several basic movement patterns, squatting, stepping, etc.

This session is very important as it helps our team screen for areas of weakness or inhibition. Our program writing department will then customize a resistance-training program for you based on your goals, specific exercise needs, and workout schedule.

We meet you where you’re at and work from there.

Dynamic warm ups

Get more out of your workout from a warm-up that focuses on helping your body MOVE BETTER through mobility, flexibility, core and calisthenic exercises.

Corrective

These restorative exercises are targeted in the warm-up and throughout the training session to address areas where an individual may need specific work as a result of tightness, weakness, immobility or pain.  Problem areas are corrected through these specific exercises so that the individual can improve joint range of motion, reduce pain and practice impeccable form to avoid injury.

Strength & Resistance

Exercises are prioritized in the resistance portion of your program based on your specific goals and injury considerations gathered from your body blueprint.  Each workout you will train your whole body, using functional exercises designed to increase athleticism and prepare you for life’s adventures.

Metabolic / Cardio / Finisher

Finish your workout with a short bout of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) to get your metabolism revving and your muscles burning.  Adjusted to your ability, you will use various tools ranging from bodyweight movements to sandbags, ropes, and kettlebells!

The entire workout will last about an hour

Foam Rolling

Every workout will start with soft tissue work called Self Myofascial Release. Foam Rolling and other self massage (SMR) tools are used to loosen muscle, release knots, and increase blood flow to assist recovery and soreness.
