I feel God has put a desire in me to both encourage people and empathize with them. When I first started training at Envision prior to working here,  I knew that this was an environment I could truly thrive in. I look at every day as an opportunity to be the best part of someone’s day and push them to reach goals they thought were impossible.

I am very passionate about music. I have been a drummer for 12 years and am always pushing to learn new instruments; guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, and singing. Also, I love dancing and really want to take lessons.

As a child, I played soccer & baseball till about the age of 11 when I was introduced to sailing. After taking some basic lessons I spent about five years competitively racing in the optimist, 420 and laser radial class. On top of this, I’ve been snowboarding for about thirteen years. Grade 9 I was also introduced to lifting weights and throughout high school, I was one of the strongest kids based on weight to strength ratio. Out of high school graduation, I worked about 8000 hours in carpentry and spent a few months as a sales rep in customer relations. Following this, I took the NASM personal trainer course and am currently taking precision nutrition level 1.

I am proud of pursuing my dreams. Working in the construction industry there is a term called a “lifer” which refers to the fact you will be working in the trades for life because that’s all you are capable of. I’ve had a lot of people tell me what I will never be able to accomplish but I knew construction would never be my passion. In 2014 I quit my job to do an internship with Coastal Church and from there I have always pushed myself to reach for the impossible. The first people to praise you for your accomplishments are often those that put you down before you achieved them.

I would be Batman because of the fact that he does extraordinary things in the absence of having super powers as an advantage over other people. He trains himself physically, mentally and creates tools that help him achieve the task at hand. He also stands up for justice even when he doesn’t get credit for doing the right thing.
